About 1st Degree

1st Degree focuses on building his brand around creating music and art.  He is an artist thinking outside of the box regarding how he can get more out of his ideas and apply them to his overall brand. 1st Degree has the ambition to succeed further than as an artist. He strives to have his own music label, but not your ordinary type of label in the music industry.  His Entertainment & Production driven company combines music with creative and modern art through his experience and expertise from his education at Animation School.  1st Degree wants to incorporate film, video subscription base, comic books, and internet radio.  He already has TV Pilots, 30-minute series on YouTube which he had the first shooting for the series on March 12, 2019.  1st Degree has bigger dreams that far exceeds releasing music and performing at shows.  His strong team around him helps to bring forth his vision of ideas.  Therefore, he can focus on his music career as an Artist.  His messages will ignite his audience to see his creativity yet have a mystery and dark addictive feeling of wanting more from him.

1st Degree was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana in a single-family home in the 9th Ward area.  He had talent playing the piano and saxophone which he became a member with several bands between the ages of 6 -7.  At age 7, he saw his father pass after the doctors diagnosed his mom with Parkinson Disease.  1st Degree lost interest in playing instruments and instead was in the streets with his neighborhood friends.  When he turned 15, his mother signed him up for a school band.  This would help keep him out of trouble.  However, playing in the band lasted until 1st Degree started high school.  He was back to hanging out with the wrong crowd. 

On August 29, 2005, Katrina hit his home state that forced him to move.  It displaced him in Houston for 6 months and then in Arizona for another 6 months before going back home to New Orleans.  Upon returning to the city, he faced misdemeanor possession charges leading him into short-term jail time and house arrest.  During this phase in his life, he realized he wanted to live better in society, so he took his rap talent serious.  He started working with Cash Money Vamp, who took him under his wing and became more of a father figure.  He managed 1st Degree for one year and with his help 1st Degree created an online presence and built a huge fan base.  In one year, Cash Money Vamp loss his life and 1st Degree took some time to figure out what and how he wanted to move forward with his music career.  He came up with a game plan and today he is still in the game.  He’s building multiple divisions within his company focusing on all media and entertainment that supersedes the current state of the music industry. 

“There’s no limit to success; but many people doubt achievement.  This drives me to aim at working harder than my competitors,” said 1st Degree.
